Phase One set for early 2027
Phase One for work on the Englewood Theater should start in early 2027.
The work will include the building exterior, the lobby and the mezzanine level which will be developed as rentable space.
Phase One also includes restoring the iconic neon marquee. The Kansas City-based Element Ten has been selected to work on the historic marquee.
The architect is DRAW Architecture and HarenCompanies the General Contractor.
Work on Phase One should begin early in 2027 following approval of state 35% state preservation tax credits which will provide Phase One financing.
Friends of Englewood Theater is the beneficiary of the Rotary Club of Independence Mardi Gras in February which will provide additional Phase One funds. A construction loan is also needed.
